Experimenting with a new area to paint. Need to dust off my brushes. It has been too long, I need to paint again.

New and old
New and old seem to be my theme at the moment. I recently inherited a vintage water color set made by Devoe and Raynolds. I’m looking forward to creating some new art with these old paints. I also have new and old unfinished pieces sitting in my studio staring at me. I have had a lot going on the past few weeks that took me away from my studio, but the spark is still burning and I’ll be posting new works soon.
One just done, one just begun
I just put my signature on my latest work “Sandpiper in the surf”, and started sketching my next one “Stilt Walking”. Both are 24×18 acrylic on deep canvas. I have several more pieces on the easel right now but I’m keeping them hidden for the moment. I don’t want to give away all my surprises yet. Keep watching for more new works soon.
New Sandpiper painting finished
I just completed one of my new Sandpiper paintings and posted it to my main website at TonyBakerStudio I still have a second one to finish, but I’m close on that one too. Here’s a peek at the one I finished today
Studio visitor
I had a visitor at my studio this morning. We frequently get wildlife visitors at Lake Deborah and today this Green Heron came for breakfast. He very graciously let me take some reference photos to add to my collection.
Studio Remodel
I’m in the midst of remodeling my studio ti give me more room and mor freedom to create. Here’s a peek. Once it’s finushed, I have a lot of art to make.
Wildlife at my studio
I have quite a bit of wildlife around my Lake Deborah studio, and all around the area. I am uploading some of the photos I have taken on Flickr. You can see them here http://www.flickr.com/photos/flseadog/sets/
Time to pick up my brushes again
Anyone who follows me knows I haven’t posted in awhile. Other obligations have kept me from my canvas, but I can only resist the call of my art for so long. I have a new painting in my head and it’s time to get it out and onto canvas. I’ll be posting updates along the way. Enjoy the show.
