Title:PUZZLE ATC
Year Created: 2010
Medium: Acrylic block print on Canvas
Size Width: 2.5 inches
Size Height: 3.5 inches
Description: The theme of these Artist Trading Cards (ATC) was “Puzzle”. I made
a series of 12 cards that contain a secret message. The puzzle is to solve the message.
There is a clue on each card. The clue is the Kanji characters on the cards. First
the background story. We have Koi in Lake Deborah behind our deck that we feed in
the evenings. We find it to be relaxing and peaceful after a stressful day. The
Kanji is “Peace”. If you look closely at the tails of the Koi you will see that
each one contains a letter in black memberDocument. If the cards are arranged in
the correct order they spell out this message “a gift of peace”. Which is what the
Koi are to me so I created this series of ATC’s to share that with the artists who
recieve the cards.
